More than just a brake pad
Heat Escape isn't simply an alternative disc brake pad. It's a completely new approach to brake pad performance and thermal management.
By combining our innovative hollow stainless steel backplates, Graphene thermal management coating and our latest G-Matrix compound, we've developed a pad designed to perform beyond the limitations of conventional disc brake pads.

Built to escape the heat
The biggest difference between Heat Escape and a conventional brake pad is what's happening behind the friction material.
During heavy braking, enormous amounts of heat are generated at the pad and rotor. With a standard solid steel backplate, most of this heat will be conducted through the pad and into the brake caliper, increasing brake fluid temperatures. As temperatures rise, brake performance and lever feel become compromised.

Hollow stainless steel backplate
At the heart of Heat Escape are our innovative hollow stainless steel backplates.
Unlike conventional solid steel backplates, the hollow construction helps reduce heat transfer from the friction material into the caliper. This improves thermal management by keeping more heat away from the brake fluid and other sensitive components of the braking system such as the pistons and seals.

The result is a brake pad designed to deliver our highest levels of powerful and consistent performance during longer, hotter and harder braking applications.

Graphene coated for improved heat dissipation
We've taken thermal management a step further with a Graphene coating on the pads stainless steel backplates.
Graphene is a highly thermally conductive carbon element, allowing heat to be dispersed across the backplate rather than concentrated in one area. In Heat Escape, this helps move heat away from the braking surface for the vastly improved control of temperatures throughout the braking system.

That matters the most when you are repeatedly hard braking, where standard pads will allow heat to build progressively.
Lower heat transfer plus improved heat distribution results in a greater resistance to brake fade and more consistent and powerful braking performance.

Our latest G-Matrix compound

Heat management is only part of the equation. The friction material needs to deliver the performance to match.
Heat Escape features our latest G-Matrix compound, developed to provide a powerful and controlled braking response while maintaining excellent levels of performance as the temperatures increase.
The compound has been developed with reduced copper content, making Heat Escape a more environmentally conscious choice without compromising on braking performance which is something that we demanded with G-Matrix.

The result is a pad that delivers:

  • Powerful braking performance
  • Consistent bite and control
  • Excellent fade resistance
  • Reliable performance during prolonged braking
  • Reduced copper content
  • Confidence when braking at higher temperatures

Whether you're descending an alpine mountain, riding a loaded eMTB or pushing hard at the bike park, Heat Escape is engineered to keep delivering powerful, predictable braking when temperatures rise!
